Mind: Mental Health Awareness Month

May kicks off Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a good chance to reflect on our topic of Mind.  Some of the topics brought to light during National Health Awareness Month are:

  • The connection between the body and mental health
  • The importance of sleep as it relates to our mental health
  • The roles of stress as it relates to the development of mental health issues
  • Promotion of physical activity as it relates to the prevention of mental health issues
  • The importance of nutrition as it relates to our mood and mental performance
